For anybody who has read or watched Friday Night Lights, these kids were on the team who beat Permian Panthers at the end of the film (in the final in the film, but the semi-final in the book). The one who didn't go along with the robbery and then went on to play 11 years in the NFL was Jesse Armstead, who is the kid who tipped away the pass on the last play of the game in FNL.
