well two things really the first being

I forgot woolufs had a player called Dave Jones and am now trying to pretend i didn't.

The second being a certain Mr D Jones used to be manager there but got sacked and is now at, er, Cardiff I believe.

The point was it kinda reads like a managers response hence they'd forgot Dave Jones had left.
Was spotted this AM by someone else, who probaly knew they had a Dave Jones (player) but that little fact whoooooooooooooooshed me.
Hence me thinking the still hadn't noticed the error............
