Roeder did it as policy. Prem managers liked loaning him players as they would get games, and as we've seen, Roeder's loan signings got games at the expense of the NCFC contracted players.

We are now in a position that Gunn (or rather NCFC) cannot afford or attract decent or permanent signings, other than ones from the Ryman League, as there's a very good chance we could go down.
