Just back from the game ... no really ...

Overall, not too bad. Obviously plenty of scope of improvement but not a disgrace at all. Certainly a lot better in the second half.

If Curo and Semi had been a little more composed we could have had 3 goals. A couple of good stops from Marshall too so probably a fair result. Attitude of the team seems markedly improved. Hoolie was most unhappy at being subbed.

If Gunny can just get a bit of quality in a couple of areas we should be ok for staying up. Pushing on further might require something a bit more drastic. I'll be happy with 21st for now.

Our Rovers supporting landlord was also at the game and had a very similar opinion - he thought we played quite well at times, and was impressed by the City turnout. (He also told us to avoid the Fitzwilliam!)

Is Semi physically well ? I'd heard a rumour that he's having some heart tests or somesuch. Certainly seems to be labouring and not running right.

Chant of the game: one of their fans nearly got slung out for squaring up to a section of our supporters after they had enquired into the sexual proclivities of his girlfriend, with particular regard to her attitude towards her sphincteral orifice. As they both left the stand for an early cuppa, passing close to the said NCFC section, the "your ground's too big for you" chant was replaced with "your bird's too fit for you". Nice.

I hope the guy on crutches who fell down the gangway steps was ok too.

Final point. Since when has Gunny been referred to as "The Gunner". MoFo seems to use this a lot in his pieces - has he just made it up or have I missed something.

Apologies in advance if any of this is WWII, WWI, Boer War, fall of Sumer etc.
