Have you spotted the trend?

Hi, been a while since I have graced these pages but I am one for keeping my own counsel until I have something profound and brilliant to say.

The signing of Killen seems to be atypical of the kind of loan signings we are making these days. Not particularly good fringe players who need to get fit/experience to get anywhere near the first team of their parent club. Of course, there are always exceptions to that rule (Lita) but they are few and far between.

I also note that in the aftermath of the Bell sale that we have another loan player. Is this a bit of long term planning on the part of the club - get rid of permanent players off the wage bill, get some money in and prepare for League 1 next season. Could be just cynical old me but I will be very suspicious if come 5pm on Monday, all Gunn has to show for his efforts is a couple of underwhelming loans.
