I can't be arsed to hunt it down but there is a rule it has something to do with a player who has moved on a bosman free transfer (so already doesn't apply) and says they can only move once in any 'period' the periods of time are then set out as January to start of next season and start of season to december.

To cut a long story short Ashton can move as many times as he likes (as long as fees are agreed)

I think. Someone can now come on and tell me how wrong I am but as we already established today, appart from spelling I am very rarely wrong.
