I remember Lappin as a good passer and deadball chap

But a bit weedy and slow

Ex-players (I know he's not actually an ex but he feels like one) are like ex partners, sometimes you remember their best features and sometimes their worst. Right now I'm remembering Lappin as a cultured ball player whose time has come again. No doubt I'll be proved wrong
