so what you are saying is...

what happens on the pitch is hugely influenced by the atmosphere around the place, and thus that the struggles this season are actually the fans fault - we could easily have created the atmosphere that was there on saturday in previous games (what was stopping us?) but we chose to whinge and grumble instead.
Noteable that our best previous games this season were against Ipswich and Wolves - teams the fans hate and so got behind the team. Maybe if our support was as good every home game as it was for those games and it was on Saturday we would be nearer the right end of the table?
