I reckon he's fallen in love with the place/us and would dearly love to stay. This happens to players from time to time (Huckerby was the last example who really should have moved on but couldn't bring himself to). Let's hope something can be done to see Reading right, which will need to happen, and to be realistic about his wages, which will also need to happen.
