Yeah, that happens when there's lots of posts.
Gets worse as the day goes on, as the code that hides the "ignored" posts has more posts to look through to decide what needs to be hidden.
Would be more efficient, and a better solution, if the post hiding was done server-side - easy enough to do in the SQL that gets posts from the database.
