Yes, I'd thought that Monsignor Big Bollocks being possessed might be where it was heading

But then when they introduced the concept of a saintly possession last night, I wondered if the end-game might be to suggest that it doesn't really matter whether your possession is from Up There or from Down There, it ends up being very Bad News for the poor soul who is the subject of the possesion - the point being that supernatural possession is going to really f**k up your day, regardless of whether it's God or the Devil that's behind it.

And then Judge John Deeds goes "Ah, what's the point?" and gives up in a big huff of ennui.

Certainly they don't seem to be in much of a hurry to paint the church as the Good Guys.

I'd be interested to know what levels of complaint they've had. You've got high church, rape, murder, gays, demons, people talking in scary slavic voices, or even scarier little girl voices. Surely most of Middle England have been onto Points of View to see what Terry Wogan can do about it all?
