?2.13 off a ?100 pair of trainers isn't really a big enough saving to make you want to go out and spend money you can't really afford

though the chances of a shop reducing a pair of trainers costing ?99.99 to ?97.86 is pretty slim so they'll lose most of it somewhere in the roundings (or just not pass it on at all) the increased profits might encourage them to keep more staff on though - at least until the National Insurance rises are brought in...
