I agree.

I use this site only occasionally to gauge the mood and to get some news, and, occasionally to be informed or even entertained. Yesterday was an embarrassment for all involved. That entire argument could have been conducted on IRC or something. The only reason it wasn't is that the perpetrators seem to like to show off their arguing prowess to an unwilling audience.

To avoid these arguments suffocating the life out of this board, they need to be put into a cubby hole of their own where they can out-paranoia each other and only bore themselves into a stupor, rather than everyone else.
