my problem with last night...

is that we finally got some semblance of control over the game when we went (for all intents and purposes) 4-3-3 in the second half. With Safri we got hold of midfield, and we caused them all kind of problems. Trouble is that we had no replacement for an obviously tired Marney, so had to put Thorne on, lost all shape and any idea about how to get the winner. Worthy has said that we're okay squad-wise and he's going with what we have; unfortunately we'll go nowhere while we're so light in the middle of the park, and until this issue is solved we will continue to struggle. Crewe gave us a total lesson in the first half, and with better finishing and a less able keeper in our goal we would have been three down before we got started. Not good enough.

And finally to confirm what most say on here; I'm a big fan of the bloke but Flem has gone as a first teamer, he's not up to it anymore. Not sure about MLJ either, think we should have a look at Colin as soon as poss, and Hughes/Jarrett together will not work, they are too similar. Our entire midfield is already totally reliant on Safri and Marney being fit and playing well. It's going to be a long season!!!
