I am tending to agree with you
The chavs and such ruin it for all. My brother had one fired at him fortunately it only left a slight scar on his chin. Some of the chavs have taken to firing them at firemen and strapping them to pets and for that reason I tend to agree that they should only be at displays. Additionally it's no longer just Nov 5th that fireworks dominate the evenings, it's 10 days or so beforehand which is not fun if you're working early in the morning or have pets.
