Right. Trying to gauge this one...

Sounded like we thrashed 'em 1-1 from Goreham's commentary (and isn't he just 1000000% better than dear old Roy?)

However, it was Crewe. They barely stayed up. Are we that bad? Are Crewe better this year?

My guess would be that it was "one of those nights". I suspect Crewe will do rather better this year - Rooney leaves Everton, anyone? Now they scraped it last year, they'll know they can do it without Deano, and get back to decent form. (Similarly my recollection is that we actually improved when we sold Eadie as rather than feel sorry for ourselves about him being continually injured we looked to move on.)

Positives? We're unbeaten still, and haven't hit our stride yet. Amazingly we don't have a fabulous record vs Crewe (only won 4 in 13 attempts) so that's another bogey side down. We also won't play another side that (a)knows Deano so well or (b)he'll be so desperate against.

Negatives? We haven't won. And both games have been at home. Tonight was a lot closer to our first XI. Still lacking in vision (until Safri came on)?

Thoughts? Not entirely sure what to make of it yet.
