My laptop got nicked in Starbucks a few weeks ago

Starbucks and the police rowed for *hours*, each insistent that it was *not* their job to review the CCTV footage. Finally I did it myself. No f**king point since, as the Starbucks manager had predicted, you couldn't see enough to recognise anyone anyway. Which makes the whole CCTV thing f**king pointless. Not to mention the concept of a "police force".

This in the same week I got fined ?30 for parking where I shouldn't have to pick my ill wife up from hospital so I could get back before the babysitter had to leave to pick her own kids up from nursery.

An upside is that I've now taken to spending my time in Starbucks nicking other people's laptops, handbags, whatever. It's not like I'm going to get done for it.
