being crushed by A 55-year-old man has been rushed to hospital after a wooden beam today.

The man was standing on a scaffolding tower in Deanside, Yarmouth while it was thought he has been trying to cut a 2.5m beam off the building.

But the large wooden beam fell on him, crushing him and trapping him on the scaffolding platform.

Paramedics and fire crews were called to the scene at about 10.30am. Firefighters had to use ladders and a hydraulic platform to rescue the injured man.

The extent of his injuries was unknown but he was taken to the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston for further treatment.

Yes I am the injured man cause I've got nothing better to do other than contact Archant after what is probably a fairly serious injury.
