Talent wise, he's not as good as the media are dying for everyone to think. I'd say Agbonlahor is same standard of player with much more discipline. But would you say Agbonlahor is worth 30m?

Rooney's a decent player with a short fuse, a short fuse (one of which it appears he's not going to learn from)

Tactically he's all over the shop too, out of position and doing his own thing. Again probably due to a lack of discipline, hence him giving away the Russia pen when there was a defender nearby that could have track the player, but Rooney brought them down

Cost England the game, and he shouldn't have made the tackle

Add all that up, and he's not as good as we're supposed to think
