Yes, how I would describe a "legend", but not

one of our best ever players by a long stretch of the imagination. Even in midfield in "recent" years we've had Sherwood, as you say, Phelan, Townsend, Crook, arguably Andy Johnson, and on good days even Francis and Etuhu who were better players than Goss. On loan we've had Parker, Molby, Rocastle. Even the early edition of Gary Holt was a better player than Goss.
