These 'suspicious betting patterns'
has anyone stated what these bets were laid against?
For instance - there must have been at least 30 secs elapse from when Lita was attacked before Carroll was red-carded. Plenty of time, I suggest, for someone in the crowd with a mobile-phone link to Asia to relay the likelihood of a) Norwich scoring b) Derby going down to 10 men c) City winning.
And in the same vein, anyone at that game would have seen that Derby were not playing like they were a man down (or that City were not taking advantage) and so the long odds of a Derby victory would have seemed particularly appealing.
The key phrase is "suspicious betting patterns", which is hardly the same as a player throwing a game.
