Is the loan situation really all that bad?
I've found myself moaning about the amount of loans we have in over the last few weeks. Groaning on, blindly repeating the rhetoric coming from everyone else but it just dawned on me that if you take out the loan players from our squad you're left with something like this:
Goal keepers:
Declan Rudd
David Marshal
Defenders:
Jon Otsemibor
Adam Drury
Dejan Stefanovic
Gary Doherty
Michael Spillane
Midfielders:
Sammy Clingan
Wes Hoolahan
Mark Fotheringham
David Bell
Simon Lappin
Darrell Russel
Robert Eagle
Korey Smith (Who?)
Damon Lathrope
Strikers:
Kris Renton
Chris Martin
Luke Daley
Jamie Cureton.
We'll walk League one next year.
But in all seriousness it's actually not that bad a squad for this league. It is at least a good start at building a team.
