Histon's ground is nowhere near a train station
you'd have to get a train into Cambridge and then get a bus out from there

By Train:
Unfortunately Histon Station saw its last passengers back in 1970 when the Cambridge to St. Ives line ceased to carry passenger services.
Cambridge Station is about a 10 minute walk (more like 20 for someone of a larger size) from the City Centre. The Citi 7 bus (see below) connects Histon/Impington with Cambridge Railway Station and runs every 10 minutes (but only turns up every half hour so you really do get 3 buses at once).

The Citi 7 service runs from Cambridge Railway Station to Histon & Impington via Cambridge City Centre.
The timetable can be found here (pdf): Citi 7 Timetable User Posted Link
The best stops for the ground are BUPA Cambridge Lea Hospital (on New Road), or the Railway Vue Pub by Histon Station and then its a short walk along New Road to the ground.
