Reserves Review

Went tonight, here are some random thoughts:

- Cureton is clearly lacking in confidence. When Lupoli won the pen, Lathrope picked up the ball to take the spotkick but Lupoli stormed over to him and snatched the ball out of his hands and gave it to JC. Lathrope then tried to get it back off JC who just looked embarassed by it all and let Lathrope take (and score) the penalty. Lupoli had a bit of a paddy as he really seemed keen for Jamie to have the chance to score the goal we all know he needs and it was strange he wasn't up for it himself.

- Our youngsters are pretty average. Lathrope and Smith will not make the first team although Daley looked lively on the right and Adeyemi looks a decent prospect in midfield. Dont know what is going on at the academy but they aint producing good players (apart from keepers!)

- Troy A-H looked a really good player and miles better than any of our younger players. He won everything in the air and on the ground and was composed with his passing. I know it was only Southend ressies but he surely was worth a chance over 2 fullbacks on Satdee. Cant see how he is going to get a game when JFK, Stefo and Docs are fit tho.

- Lupoli looked lively and set up both goals and Hoolahan was creative without really getting into his stride.

-The triallist did ok but out of the two CB's Troy was the better - cant see GR offering him a deal TBH.

- Finally I dont know what Simon Lappin has done wrong to become an 87th minue sub for the reserves.
