Tell you something you may not know about lead

It f**king hurts.

You know when you bang your elbow against something, or stub your toe against a table or the like? Hurts, dunnit? Well for some reason it hurts a lot more when you bang elbow or toe against lead. That is, the initial pain is the same, then there's a slight lull, and then it comes back worse than before, and you say that word quite a lot.

There'll be a scientific reason for this, I don't doubt.
