Agree with quite a lot of that but
In terms of the loan players I still think it is probably the only solution: whilst there are other teams in a financial mess we are probably the only ones who have to fork out ?2.5 million in a couple of month's time to replace a loan used to buy a car-park. Also we have a youth academy at which millions have been thrown but which has failed. There are currently no products of our academy playing regularly in the top two divisions. The only two former City youth players with a chance of playing in the first team signed their first professional contracts with the club 11 and 15 years ago. Where is the new Max Briggs?
Worthington was allowed to break-up a very decent side and replace it with w**kers like Thorne and Jarrett. Grant tried to fix it by signing players on permanent contracts but the truth is for the money we can afford jokes like Strihavka, Brellier and Murray are what is available. Roeder's response to the hand he has been dealt is to go the loan route whilst very gradually adding permanent signings.
The responsibilty for this lies with the board: it is their financial policies that have - and just think how much worse it would be if the planners hadn't thrown out Cooper's original ridiculously grandiose plans for Colney.
And we didn't lose 4-0 at Coventry.
