Was more a point in general. About how this happens amongst various schemes

You've got these ftr buses around here

which are a shambles, cost about half a million each, yet, because they're a certain size, what are they worth when they pack in?

At least when you make buses the same size, when they conk out a little, you can sell them down to cheaper bus company who will do them up, so they maintain their value even somewhat

Making fancy bus's, I mean, it's a fecking bus ffs. But to do so, and completely floor yourself in terms of business sense, is something each local government does year on year

Yet we have a coastliner bus company in Yorkshire, who's buses cost ?150k each, are a standard shape, and that company is making a killing. Where as goverment funded ventures usually end up being subsidised because they make a loss
