was there last night too, my take on t he game........

strange being sat incognito int he home end (main stand to the right of the away fans) and interesting to here home fans talk about us.....

"pretty football" "passing side" "attractive" all used about ncfc.... however my personal veiw of the game....

both our full backs always seemed to back off, allowing shots from distance....

its clear that stef is our best player by far, as soon as he went off (and annoyingly it was for dissent after fouling to give the penalty, he would have only got a yellow, but after backchsatting earnt two yellows in one go!) - as soon as he went off our back four were in dissaray and dont seem to have a clue.....

thought Ots was dreadful but thought croft looked very very good, best game i've seen him play for us in ages, gave the young leftback a torrid time and put some good balls across......

we played a lot of long balls to sibs who prob won more than 80% of headers......BUT whats the poont of signing this "big man" to win plenty of flick ons when no one else is up with him!!! he's either got to learn to hold the ball up like iwan used to, or we need someone up there with him.....

jamie cur-tain came on and looked threatening, the fans around me rate him and feared he'd do some damage..........

overall, was pleased with the way we played, much much better than the last game i went to (blackpool) - we had loads of possession and despite going one nil down looked comfortable...........the penalty killed us and with 10 men we were buried.......better teams would have finished us off.

southampton?? on last nights showing no better than lower mid table, somewhere around where we will finish, unless we can start scoring!!!!!

peace out.
