the players we had on. Hughes and Charlton wwere because they didn't look for the ball and enable us to keep position. To be fair to them that isn't their game, but we should have someone available for whom it IS their game. If we are dependent on Safri & Jarrett who are both injury prone we are in big trouble. Can you let me know how Hughes had a decent game? Not saying he didn't, I'd just like to know what you think his good points were. Must admit I didn't notice him doing anything noteworthy, either defensively or (more explicably) from a creative point of view. He "ran around" OK but I'd like to think with the improvement in our financial position we could do a bit better than that...
