Van Wyk did, iirc, have a spell in midfield before settling at LB. I don't remember Walford in midfield, but then, until a recent Name That Team I'd forgotten Dixie's enforced spell at Centre-Back, too.
That's 'settling' and 'enforced' in footballspeak, really.
