Thoughts from Saturday

First game this season, so only going on what I saw, but here goes:

Marshall great, saves like that win matches.

I forget how well Drury defends. If he could just find some adventure going forward he'd be brilliant.

Didn't get the point of Darel Russell the first time he was here, and to me he doesn't seemed to have improved second time around. He's not dynamic enough to be a centre midfielder, and not good enough on the ball either.

Fozzy takes some stick, and did make a howler late on, but its his job to get the ball and give it to the creative players, and I think he does this well.

Sib wasn't pretty, but he was so important to us.

CBs did okay, but at times it did look like men vs boys when Sheff Utd were chucking the ball into the box. They were s**te to watch, long balls and hoofs into the channel were all they had to offer.

Otsemober would be a helluva player if he had a bit of confidence.

Croft was brill.

Hoolahan added a lot when he came on. Be good if we could put him in CM with a big lump to protect him.

Would have still been happy if we had lost as we are infinitely better than last season.
