If someone doesn't like what you've said, telling them to f**k off or not to be so sensitive, (mainly because they're being defencive back) turns something you didn't mean to offend, into intent

And that's where neither side wins, or the obvious comparisons follow "so if someone called me ginna, can I be offended", when it's irrelevant at the time

That's mainly the problem area of all this. People don't like being wrong, and a lot of the time, will do their level best to just win an argument or situation, without just realising someone is upset
