saw them.......
in 88 when i was living on the dutch/german border - the concert weekend still remains one of my finest weekends in my life........jsut got out of 2 weeks in german military hospital having my shoulder pinned together, went to a party the friday night - was great to see all my mates, then on saturday we drove in convoy (12 of us) down to a hotel in koln, went on the piss all day, and saw simple minds in the velodrome int he evening..... then on sunday drank all day and saw pink floyd in the mungersdorfer stadium.......then on the monday i flew back to blighty for two weeks "sixk leave!"
also saw them a couple of times at earls court in about 92........one of the stands collapsed the night beofre and we wernt sure if the gig was still going to go ahead........
Defo my fave band ever, the best concerts ever, and the best album ever (DSotM)
