Don't know if I'm being paranoid
but why do we get less coverage on the ITV Championship programme than anyone else? We hit the woodwork 4 times yesterday, had a goal disallowed and should by all accounts have had a penalty, but only just got given enough time to show the goals. Yes, a brief word from the managers afterwards, but even so. Most other teams had any other kind of incident shown - we had the sending off. Pisses me off.
And on the manager thing, why has it become one manager against another? Yesterday was Paul Jewell's first win, apparently (disregarding the League Cup one). It wasn't - it was Derby's first league win with him as manager. He picked the team and may have done some tactics and coaching. It was their s**t players who won. Likewise the Premiers**te's "Rafa v Sir Alex showdown" bollocks. Much as I agree the manager / coach is crucially important in a team, it's become a media-led bunch of dog-turd wrapped in a Sunday sports supplement. In our Sunday league team, the guy on the sidelines who shouts at us and tells us how crap we are at half-time doesn't take all the credit for the result. More and more the Prem (and subsequently the Championship will also) becomes like the WWE - no sport, just a whole load of ranting from Mr McMann-style t**ts.
Bastards.
