Drawing at home on first day is not a disaster

There are 45 more chances to get the full 3 points and if Ashton or McKenzie had had a bit more luck we might have won despite a poor performance.

However, it seems that we are going to need Jarrett and especially Safri to be fit for the majority of the season if we aren't going to buy any more CM's. Hughes and Charlton are OK but they're not going to get you promotion if played every week.

Same with Marney. Thought he looked very good and we might have the first player in years who can take a corner and put in decent crosses but no cover if he gets injured (is he fit for tuesday???).

As for defence, obviously need Shackell in there and maybe Charlton at left back. We could make do with Shacks and Flem but is Flem up to it and again little cover if Shacks got injured.

Hopefully Worthy is saying he is happy with the squad so as not to inflate prices of his possible targets up to the end of August.

With all players fit, we will do very well but long term injuries to Shackell, Safri, Jarrett, or Marney and we might we be in trouble (also relies on Worthy actually playing these players when fit of course).
