Why is it acceptable to call someone

or some people stupid,yet it is not acceptable to call someone or some people coloured? The word stupid seems more offensive to me,where as coloured is not,in any form,malicious, it was a acceptable term used by my fathers generation,that for some reason during the 90`s, became a taboo word.....On "mock the week",there have often been many references to norfolk people being inbred,having 6 toes,or webbed feet,yet if the same comedians referred to the irish being thick,there would be an outcry! So it is okay to slate and make fun of county folk,but not country folk!

For the record,my interpretation of racism is when you /or your race, thinks it is of a higher order,superior,and treats of races as inferior....
I once worked in a factory,and would often play cards with the factory floor..1 day while playing,2 pakistanies,visiting from leicester,walked past the canteen, and from our table,and the canteen in general there was loads of general abuse...After noticing i hadnt joined in,i tried to explain why i didnt,and my position on racism,when i was then the target! i took the flak for the rest of the lunchtime,and realised they was not gonna listen to reason and i was p###in in the wind!......
