I'd agree if you talk about the team itself, but I'm talking about the squad. However,

I can see that perhaps by leaving him out entirely the bomb was dropped well before the games and he avoided the screams for Owen's inclusion which would have been inevitable after that Andorra game.

Next time he can include him in the squad and get away without starting or playing him, as he's got us used to the idea.
