As it was he obvously had to give Doc a go up front last year due to that fact we had hardly any other bugger to play there. As it was, he wasnt a striker ( hence the fact he wasnt played there once we had Ashton) and the jurys still out whether he can defend or not.

Personally i thought he was no better or worse than any other defender today - other than a sloppy pass right at the end which could have been costly. You've answered my question about the midfield by the way .... that was the problem.

But hang on ...... we're one game old ... that midfield had never played together before. Give them a few games, lets see if they gel. Worthington can be the only judge of that. Leave him to it boys.... he's the expert.
