At least 28 games before the January transfer window
Because of the World Cup nearly two thirds of the league games will be played before the transfer window re-opens. Hopefully Marney's injury is not serious but it, together with the bad run of injuries we had last season should be a wake up call to Worthy that he needs more genuine midfield players onboard before the end of August. Charlton doesn't count - he can play left wing back (Southampton away last season showed this), he is not a central midfield player.
