it would be better to produce our own players to sell on (henc ethe youth team) but you can't guarantee producing any.

Its much harder now to buy up promising players from lower leagues and sell them on for a big fat profit (as we used to). prem clubs hoover up all young talent that looks remotely promising (because they have the money).

the only way we can be in a position to do that is to become a LOT richer which at the moment requires us becoming a Prem team, which in turn involves putting out the best quality team we can NOW. And with our resources that means using the loan system.
