MPF is LLU (data and voice) and SMPF is just data which is known as partial LLU
Partial LLU you can migrate easilly without incurring a charge (unless in contract cess fee's apply) It is difficult to migrate away from LLU, which is why ISP's want to put customers on their own exchange. However you can get bT to take over the line free of charge but be warned you will be charged if you wanted to leave BT straightaway to another providor.
