Montella was an expensive luxury, so far as I can recall. He burst on the scene with a couple of league goals and an FA Cup hat-trick against Leicester. Suddenly, he was everyone's favourite goalhanger. Then he lost his rag against Spurs in the next round, got a straight red and for one reason or another didn't play for six weeks. He was never the same again.

The guy has got class, no doubt about it, and can finish from outside the six-yard box as well as inside it. You won't get quite the work-rate from him as you would from most others, and I'm sure he won't come
cheap, but if you have room to accommodate an onion bag merchant then he might be just what you're looking for.
