And I HATE riding mountain bikes so rather than anything especially hard-core, I ended up with a 2007 Claud Butler Milano - ?280 + ?12 postage as it was the last one they had. The 08 version is around ?600, so I think I did pretty well! Goes like a bastard, too. :-)

Delivery was pretty quick, and assembly out of the box is dead easy if you can tell one end of a spanner from another. The only tricky bit if you haven't done it before is taping the handlebars. Something worth considering; one of the first things I did was buy it some kevlar tyres (Continental Gatorskins) as the roads around Cambridge are s**te.
