Traditional sense of community
Since it's unlikely to get through here's my response:
"Less than a year ago I went to Wolverhampton. Our "football team" were so dreadful that we should have lost by a rugby score. Two of our "players" failed to last the 90 minutes. In attack we were so penetrating that our first shot arrived in the 89th minute - and went out for a throw-in! In the couple of years before that there were many similarly inept performances - and there have been a few since, although they have become less frequent. What response do you think anyone trumpeting our "traditional sense of community" would have got on that cold Black Country afternoon? There is nothing laudable about smug complacency and cronyism.
And what happened to that great football man Gordon Bennett? He was replaced by a grocer!"
