glad someone agrees

I find it distasteful to say the least that people feel comfortable making these offensive statements.

maybe they were attempts at humour, but thats not the kind of humour you can get away with unless your audience knows you very well indeed.
As i said to Alan, if that was meant to be ironic, he was cutting it extraordinarily fine
