2 questions about yesterdays game

1,if the push,and the resulting pen,hadnt happenend,would we have got anything from the game(bearing in mind our play before that point,and not our forced change of tactics,where we created more chances)
2, the chances we did create and miss,would a big striker have made any difference?
FRom what i listenend to and heard from a couple who went, 2nd half we dominated and looked a formidable side going forward,but without the final touch
