I don't see fanbases having any effect on how good a team is.
look at Wigan or Fulham.
They would have to go into the Prem and replace most of their team in the same way that any Championship club has to. Then they could make it as a mid table club after maybe 3 or 4 season of very good signings.
I do think they would probably be better set up to stay up than any Championship club. I'm just saying it would be hard to start with. They would never be as succesfull as Man u, Chelsea, at the most they would be pushing for 8th i reckon.
The thing you have to bear in mind though, and this is quite important is I'm just a bloke sitting at a laptop who knows little about it I'm barely good enough to play Sunday league!
