Outlook does it to me all the time at wuck, and being a head-down typist I never notice until it's too late.
You type sommat, decide to insert a clause in the middle, type it, look up and find you've written over the next set of original text.
It's a nuisance, and it's happened twice to me this e'en.
Twice again while typing this. Booooooooooo.
