Lovely old PremiumTV cock-up saves me a tenner

So, the subscription price to Canaries World is 39.99 a year. My subscription was due to be renewed on 1st August (i.e. yesterday).

So, earlier in the week I'd been buggered about by a US site which didn't send the security code of my credit card correctly and consequently my bank put a 48-hr block on my credit card (I called them, no problem but had to wait for it to be unblocked).

Of course, this meant when PTV tried to take 39.99 out of my account yesterday it failed. I got an email from them, asking me to correct my cc details.

I thought OK, I'll do that today. However, half an hour ago I received an email from them saying that they noticed I had cancelled my subscription (actually, it was they who had cancelled it rather than give me a day or so grace period), and offering me a 10 quid discount to re-subscribe. So I did.

Roffle. They really aren't the most professional of outfits are they ?
