Never nice to be tanked but that is the reality of the prem. Spurs squad (over 60 preofessionals) cost in excess of 100m to assemble, several individuals cost loads more than the value of out whole squad.
Derby were a decent enough championship side but got stuffed like that week in week out in the prem. You have to think the promoted teams will also suffer a similar outcome.
Sunderland were one of the biggest spenders in Europe at around 50m they finished 3 points above relegation. They are now going to spend another fortune buying players that are not good enough for spurs.
So its disappointing but no surprise, though it rather takes the shine of the dream of being promoted.
